A Week in Review (5)

After the immense success during Friday, students had a relaxing weekend to prepare for the following week. A quick regrouping on Monday started production once again, and hand railings were installed onto the greenhouse entrance.

Bad weather caused problems for the crew on Wednesday. Harsh rain and snow forced all fabrication inside and hopes of assembling the second structural bay were dismissed. However, progress was made on the shelving steel rods, as they were heated and bent for shelf support. Remaining design solutions were also discussed and formed within the classroom to ensure a smooth progression from here on out.

Friday brought cold temperatures, but clear skies allowed construction outdoors to ensue. Students, dedicated to staying on schedule, put in full effort to assemble the second structural bay of trusses. The bay lined up with the trailer’s anchor bolts, and the frame was attached, which concluded another productive week.
